Our Story,
Our Journey
TheCompassCamellia is a wholistic space for exploring the inspiring and wondrous [head + heart) space and for engaging with what it means to live well. What began as a psychology atelier created from a desire to support expatriates and their families as they navigated experiences and possibilities of life across borders and cultures, has evolved into an international Positive Psychology Atelier. Today, TheCompassCamellia works with individuals from diverse walks of life around the world, accompanying them as they discover and cultivate their own pathways to wellbeing, self-compassion and resilience.
TheCompassCamellia was founded by Katrina Angel, a Positive Psychology Consultant and Certified Positive Psychology Coach. Following undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Communications at University in Miami, where she graduated summa cum laude, and Postgraduate study in Boston, graduating magna cum laude, Katrina has spent more than 25 years living internationally across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. Her own experience of navigating countries, cultures, and transitions has deeply shaped the philosophy of TheCompassCamellia that wellbeing is not simply about where we find ourselves, but how we learn to understand, support, and compassionately accompany ourselves through the places and spaces of our lives.
Based in London and The Hague, Katrina is currently conducting Doctoral research in Positive Organisational Behaviour, further exploring the role of Positive Psychology in supporting wellbeing and human flourishing in our personal and professional lives. At the heart of TheCompassCamellia is a purposeful intention to walk with you as you comfortably navigate places, transitions, and stages of life, and as you courageously and playfully discover and explore the new spaces within yourself and between yourself and others.
